Velico Faro Piave Vecchia, yacht club. It was founded by impassioned sailors from Treviso to promote youth and offshore sailing.
The experience of our instructors will give you the possibility to learn how to manage a sailboat in any wind condition as well as the basic seaman rules. Are you a beginner? Have you already attended other courses and you want to improve to the next level? You can choose among various courses to improve your experience in this beautiful sport.
Children course
Directed to:
children aged 8 to 13
Objectives:
learning the basic principles of sailing
Sailboats used:
Optimist.
Topics:
nautical terms and basic knots, preparing a boat for sailing. Tacking and gybing, trimming the sails, the rules of sailing.
Duration:
Weekly: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
Base course
Directed to:
inexperienced that for the first time meet sailing.
Objectives:
Learning of the fundamental rules to sail in stable meteorological conditions and subsequently access to the advanced course.
Sailboats used:
First 7.5 and/or Caravelle; sail fast and safe with the mainsail/genoa rig
Topics:
Marine terminology and fundamental knots, setting-up a sailboat. Tacking and gybing, adjusting the sails, moorings and landings, basic rules of navigation.
Duration:
2 consecutive weekends (4 days) 9,00 - 18,00.
Minimal entry number:
3 participants per boat.
Advanced Course
Directed to:
Who has already frequented the base course or has enough sailing experience
Objectives:
Increase the experience and preparation with tough wind conditions and sail different boats. Learn to sail in autonomy and safety. Access to the advanced regatta course.

Topics:
Revision and close examination of the base course, sails adjustment, the spinnaker, strong wind navigation, moorings and dock approaches by sail and motor.
